Peter Town’s career in civil engineering began in a company using silicone injection to check moisture ingress into masonry structures.

Believing there was an opportunity to advance the technology to control ground water movement, he started his own specialist company, Oxford Hydrotechnics Ltd.  Developing the injection technology, he became a UK pioneer using resin injection for leakage and ground water control.

Peter has acted as a consultant in UK, USA, Europe, North Africa, Russia and Central Asia.  He has appeared as an expert witness in the UK and has been honoured with a fellowship from the Institution of Civil Engineers.

In addition, Peter regularly presents at seminars and speaks at International conferences.  He is a contributor to trade magazines in UK and USA and publishes technical papers.

The business he established continues to flourish: the day-to-day management now being undertaken by a team initially trained by Peter.

Independently, Peter now offers consultancy services relating to water ingress to below ground structures and the stabilisation of water-bearing soils. He acts as an expert witness, supervises recovery of tunnel and shaft inundations and provides project management. He is also involved in the development of new injection resins.
